The process begins with a deep dive into the client’s needs and expectations. We review the initial input data provided by the client to analyze process requirements and overall constraints. In order to kick off the product design, we need a set of working parameters that the heat exchanger would operate with : specific fluids, flow arrangement, temperatures, pressure, and basic information about the application performance.
Once we analyze the project insights and the input data, we make decision on the most suitable heat transfer technology for the project. We either select one of the typical AIC’s designs or develop new, custom-made solution that would perfectly fit the specific project.
Once the heat exchanger type is selected, we run thermal calculations determining the heat transfer area. Those calculations define all process constraints, such as allowable pressure drops and dimensional limitations. Depending on the project, we either utilize pre-built models using calculating software (e.g. Aspen) or conduct calculations manually starting from scratch.
The mechanical design process involves all activities that shape the initial design into the final form of the heat exchanger. Those activities include selecting appropriate materials, conducting mechanical strength calculations, and setting the system's interface. They are performed under relevant designing codes (i.e. ASME, EN 13345, SELO, additional TEMA standards) and with a special attention to the external constraints and the product's final destination.
The final design is verified by our in-house advanced numerical simulations (CFD & FEA analysis) and a series of tests in the thermal laboratory.
The process ends with an offer consisting of the technical drawings, pricing and estimated delivery lead time. If the project does not require special design activities, it can take even less than two days.
AHE's workflow is designed to provide custom heat exchange solutions and comprehensive engineering support for every project. We keep to a 6-stage process, starting with a thorough analysis of your needs and expectations, followed by the creation of a concept that perfectly fits your project. We conduct thermal calculations, mechanical design, testing, and optimization to ensure the final design meets the highest standards. Our process concludes with a detailed offer consisting of technical drawings, pricing, and an estimated delivery lead time. With our commitment to excellence, you can be sure that All Heat Exchangers is your trusted partner in delivering the right product for your specific applications.
